About these PDF tools
PDFs are the format everyone accepts and nobody can edit. The moment you need to combine two of them, pull out page 4, shrink one under an email limit or sign the last page, the obvious answer is a website that wants your document — and often your email address too.

Frequently asked questions
Do my PDFs get uploaded anywhere?
No. Every PDF tool here runs in the browser, so contracts, statements and ID documents are read and written on your own device and never sent to a server.
Can I unlock a PDF I don't have the password for?
No — the unlock tool removes a password you already know, which is what you need when a bank or utility sends a protected statement. It doesn't crack unknown passwords.
Why is my compressed PDF still large?
Compression re-renders pages as images at a lower quality, which helps enormously with scans and photo-heavy files but less with plain text PDFs, which are already small. Try a lower quality setting or split out the heavy pages.
Does converting to Word keep my layout?
It keeps the words and paragraph structure, not the exact visual design. For a faithful visual copy, convert the pages to images instead.
Is there a page or file size limit?
No fixed limit. Large documents are handled page by page in your browser, so the constraint is your device's memory rather than a server quota.
