Frequently asked questions
Is this CSV to PDF converter free?
Yes — completely free with no sign-up and no watermark on the result.
Is my data uploaded anywhere?
No. Both directions run entirely in your browser — nothing is sent to a server.
How does PDF → CSV find the table?
It groups text into rows by vertical position, splits each row into cells at the wide gaps, then lines those cells up into shared columns — so a row with a blank cell keeps its shape instead of shifting everything left. Titles and footnotes don't add columns of their own; they're kept as rows in whichever column they start in. This works well for typical generated tables like invoices and statements, but unusual layouts may need a manual tidy-up afterwards — or use PDF to Excel, where you can adjust the columns on the page.
Why is my extracted CSV empty?
The PDF has no selectable text — most likely it's a scan, where each page is just an image. Run it through the OCR PDF tool first to add a text layer, then extract here.
Why does Download PDF open a print dialog?
It uses your browser's built-in "Save as PDF" printer, which produces a real PDF without needing extra software. Choose "Save as PDF" as the destination.
Can I convert a multi-page PDF's tables?
Yes. A table that runs across pages comes out as one table: pages of the same size share one set of columns, and a header row repeated at the top of each page is kept once. Pages of a different size get their own columns, which may not line up with the rest.
