Frequently asked questions

Is this tool free?

Yes — completely free, with no sign-up and no watermark.

Is my text uploaded anywhere?

No. All processing happens in your browser — your text never leaves your device.

What does “join lines into one” do?

It removes every line break so your text becomes a single continuous line, joining the lines with the separator you pick (a space, nothing, or a comma). It's handy for un-wrapping text copied from a PDF or email.

What's the difference between removing blank lines and joining lines?

Removing blank lines only deletes empty lines while keeping your other line breaks. Joining lines removes all line breaks and merges everything onto one line.

Can it fix double spaces too?

Yes — turn on “collapse extra spaces” to reduce any run of spaces, tabs or non-breaking spaces to a single space. Non-breaking spaces are worth knowing about: text pasted out of a PDF or Word is often full of them, and they look identical to ordinary spaces.

How do I un-wrap a PDF without merging the paragraphs?

Leave “keep paragraph breaks” on, which is the default. The lines inside each paragraph are rejoined, but the blank line between paragraphs stays, so you get readable prose rather than one long block. Turn it off if you genuinely want everything on a single line.
