Frequently asked questions
Is this QR code generator really free?
Yes — free, no sign-up, no watermark, and no limit on how many codes you create.
Do these QR codes expire?
Never. Your data is encoded directly into the image itself — there is no shortlink or third-party service that can shut down. The code works as long as the printed or displayed image exists.
Is my link or Wi-Fi password uploaded anywhere?
No. The QR code is generated entirely in your browser — nothing you type is sent to a server, which is exactly why it's safe to make Wi-Fi codes here.
How does a Wi-Fi QR code work?
It encodes your network name, password and security type in a standard format. When someone scans it with their phone camera, the phone offers to join the network — no typing needed.
What does error correction do?
It adds redundancy so the code still scans when partly damaged or covered — L survives about 7% damage, H about 30%. Higher levels make the code denser, so use M for most cases and H for codes that will be printed small or outdoors.
Should I download PNG or SVG?
PNG works everywhere — documents, chat, social media. SVG stays perfectly sharp at any size, so use it for professional printing or design tools like Figma and Illustrator.
