About the Social Image Resizer
Resize one image to every social media platform size — Twitter/X, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and OG — and download them all as a ZIP.
How to use the Social Image Resizer
- 1Drop in your image, paste it, or click to browse — JPG, PNG, WebP and HEIC all work.
- 2Pick a size to crop with the button on its card, then drag the box on the left to choose the area to keep. Each size keeps its own crop.
- 3Tick the sizes you want in the download — the platform buttons toggle a whole platform at once.
- 4Pick a format, then click Download ZIP to save all selected sizes in a single ZIP, organised by platform folder.
Frequently asked questions
How does the resizing work?
For each size the tool takes the largest region of your image with that aspect ratio and resizes it to the exact pixel dimensions, so nothing is stretched or padded. By default that region is taken from the centre; drag the box to take it from somewhere else.
Can I choose which part of the image is kept?
Yes, and each size independently. Click the crop button on any size and the box on the left switches to that exact shape; drag it to move, or drag a corner to crop in closer. Only that size changes, so you can pull a tall Story up to a face while leaving a wide banner centred. Arrow keys nudge the box, Re-centre undoes one size, and Use for all sizes copies the current framing to every size at once.
Do my crops apply to every size?
That is the default: every size starts centred and holds its own crop, so adjusting one never disturbs the rest. Sizes you have adjusted are labelled cropped on their card. If you do want them to match, crop one and press Use for all sizes.
What platforms are included?
Twitter/X (post, header, profile), Instagram (square, portrait, story/reel), Facebook (post, cover), LinkedIn (post, banner), YouTube (thumbnail, channel art), and a generic OG image for web sharing — 13 sizes in total.
Does my image get uploaded to a server?
No — all resizing happens in your browser using the Canvas API. Your image never leaves your device.
What format are the downloaded files?
Your choice of JPG, PNG or WebP, with a quality slider for the lossy two. JPG at 92% is the default and is the right answer for most social media; PNG is worth picking for a logo or anything with flat colour and sharp edges.
What if a size is bigger than my image?
The tool says so. Any selected size that would have to enlarge your image is labelled with how much — '2.4× up' — and listed in a note above the grid, because enlarging invents detail the original never had and the result looks soft. YouTube channel art at 2560×1440 is the one that catches people out most. If it matters, start from a larger original.
Are the previews what I'll actually get?
Yes. Each thumbnail is rendered at the real shape of that size, using that size's own crop — so a tall Story preview looks tall and a wide banner looks wide, and the thumbnail updates as you drag, showing exactly what will be saved.
