About the SERP Snippet Preview
See how your page title and meta description will look in Google search results — live desktop and mobile preview with pixel-based length limits, all in your browser.
How to use the SERP Snippet Preview
- 1Enter your page title, meta description and URL.
- 2Switch between the desktop and mobile preview to see how each looks.
- 3Watch the pixel-width bars — if a bar is full, Google is likely to truncate that field with an ellipsis.
- 4Trim your title or description until it fits, then use it in your page's meta tags.
Frequently asked questions
Is this SERP preview tool free?
Yes — completely free, with no sign-up and no watermark.
Is my content uploaded anywhere?
No. The preview is rendered entirely in your browser — nothing you type is sent anywhere.
Why does it measure pixel width instead of characters?
Google truncates search snippets based on how wide the text renders on screen, not how many characters it has — a title full of narrow letters like “i” and “l” fits more characters than one full of wide letters like “m” and “w”. This preview estimates that rendered width so it's closer to what you'll actually see in search results.
How accurate is the truncation?
It's a close approximation based on typical letter widths, not an exact copy of Google's rendering engine or font. Treat it as a strong guide for whether your title or description is in the right range, not a pixel-perfect guarantee.
What's a good title and description length?
As a rough guide, aim for a title under about 60 characters and a description under about 155–160 characters — short enough to rarely get cut off on desktop or mobile.
