Frequently asked questions
Is this Open Graph generator free?
Yes — completely free, with no sign-up and no watermark.
Is my content uploaded anywhere?
No. The tags and preview are built entirely in your browser — nothing you type is sent anywhere.
What are Open Graph tags for?
They control how your page appears when shared as a link on Facebook, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, Slack, Discord and similar apps — the title, description and preview image shown come from these tags rather than being guessed from the page.
Why does the image need a URL instead of an upload?
Open Graph and Twitter Card images must be publicly accessible online so that Facebook, Twitter/X and other platforms can fetch them — a local file on your device can't be referenced this way. Upload your image somewhere first, then paste its public URL here.
What's the difference between the two Twitter card types?
“Summary” shows a small square image beside the text, while “Summary with large image” shows a full-width image above the text — the large-image style is more common for blog posts and articles.
