Is my data uploaded anywhere?
No — conversion happens entirely in your browser, so it's safe to paste spreadsheet exports containing real data.
What does the header row option do?
With it on, the first CSV row becomes the JSON keys, giving you an array of objects. With it off, you get an array of arrays with every row treated as data.
Does this handle commas and quotes inside values?
Yes — fields quoted per the CSV standard (RFC 4180) are parsed properly, including commas, line breaks and doubled quotes inside a field. The same rules are applied when generating CSV.
What JSON shapes can be converted to CSV?
An array of flat objects (keys become the header row) or an array of arrays. Nested objects inside a value are kept as JSON text in that cell.
My CSV uses semicolons — will it work?
Yes — set the delimiter to semicolon or tab. Semicolons are common in European locales where the comma is the decimal separator.
