Frequently asked questions

Is this invoice generator free?

Yes — completely free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on the number of invoices.

Is my invoice data uploaded anywhere?

No. The invoice and its PDF are built entirely in your browser — nothing you type is sent anywhere. A draft is saved only in your own browser so you can come back to it.

How is the total calculated?

Each line is quantity × rate; those add up to the subtotal. Any discount is taken off the subtotal, then the tax rate is applied to the discounted amount to give the final total.

Can I use it for any currency?

Yes — pick your currency from the list and every amount is formatted accordingly. It works for GST, VAT or any percentage-based sales tax.

Does this support GST invoices with CGST, SGST and IGST?

Yes — switch Tax type to "GST (India)" to add an HSN/SAC code per line item and split the tax rate into CGST + SGST for an intra-state sale, or IGST for an inter-state sale.

Is this a valid tax invoice?

It produces a clean, professional invoice with all the usual fields, but tax-invoice requirements vary by country (for example a registered tax ID may be required). Add any details your jurisdiction needs in the business details or notes, and check local rules.
